The precious Natural Quartz Cristallo Vitrum “Wow” is the guest star at Antolini MilanoDuomo Stoneroom® during Fuorisalone 2024.
Antolini MilanoDuomo opens its doors to the Ways of Wonder during the 2024 edition of Fuorisalone: the showroom in the city center hosts Cristallo Vitrum “Wow” as main character of its Design Week. This specific Natural Quartz, a precious material of the highest impact, was in fact chosen for the scenic bathtub at the center of the showroom, for the terra kitchen featured in collaboration with minotticucine, and for the updated Tableware Collection.
The designs based on the application of Cristallo Vitrum “Wow” are viable thanks to the combination between the innate qualities of the material and the excellent processing expertise of Antolini’s technical team. Cristallo Vitrum “Wow” is a particularly hard natural stone, it is durable and unalterable even against stains and scratches; among its excellent features, it can be backlit thanks to the variation of its structure and surface, which also includes completely transparent parts. Its unique hardness presents challenges in handling and processing, requiring the use of a diamond tip and, crucially, specialized technical expertise. Nonetheless, thanks to Antolini’s know-how and expertise, it became Milano Design Week main star at the company’s Stoneroom.
As previously mentioned, for the Fuorisalone 2024, scheduled from April 15 to 21, the Antolini MilanoDuomo showroom gives great emphasis to Cristallo Vitrum “Wow”, with the aim of creating Ways of Wonder through the introduction of three main projects.
The first project carries visitors into the world of a precious spa, where a bathtub made entirely of Cristallo Vitrum “Wow” welcomes them. The bathtub has been carved from a unique block of Natural Quartz, crafted through the collaboration between technical innovation and careful craftsmanship. The excavation was performed using specific technologies, while the polished finish has entirely been done by hand by a specialized team. Thanks to the translucency of the stone and depending also on the lighting design, the bathtub changes color during the day, creating numerous scenarios.
The second project concerns a prestigious kitchen, Antolini’s signature variation of a model that has already become a milestone in the world of design. We are talking about the terra kitchen designed by Claudio Silvestrin for minotticucine and, today, unveiled with a new look. In the 2024 version developed in partnership between Antolini and minotticucine, the main star of the project is, indeed, Cristallo Vitrum “Wow”. But that’s not all: all-natural stone claddings are backlit, giving an additional boost to the kitchen quality and design.
From bathroom and kitchen design to accessories: for the Fuorisalone appointment Antolini has also updated the Tableware Collection, now showcased in the new Cristallo Vitrum “Wow” version, combined to a new steel finish. Designed by Alessandro La Spada, the series is defined by its organic geometries and by the elegance of its components, from trays to a variety of dishes and home accessories.
These three projects, different in scale and function, underline the versatility of the material and the different possible applications in the world of design: Antolini presents natural stone sculptures and innovation.
