Wisdom Audio, designer and manufacturer of loudspeakers and amplifiers tailored for the most discerning audiophiles, today announced a new lower cost eight channel amplifier — the IA-8 DSP — the most cost effective amplifier ever from Wisdom Audio, will be making its worldwide debut at Cedia 2023. Designed and built in the United States, the IA-8 DSP is a compact 2RU amplifier that delivers eight channels of high-performance amplification at 125W RMS per channel into eight ohms and 250W per channel into four ohms, all channel-driven. This DSP model adds a DSP board, enabling all eight channels to provide the necessary digital active crossover, delay, gain, and digital EQ profiles for our Insight Series and Subwoofers, in addition to Generic Speakers and Subwoofers. An optional Dante Digital Audio Input Kit is also available for purchase separately.
The Insight Series ICI6 in-ceiling speaker is designed for high resolution distributed audio zones, LCR channels, and also surround and overhead channels. Using wisdom Audio incredible spherical planar magnetic driver also used in the higher-priced ICS3 Sage Series Minimal Appearance Speaker. Along with their spherical PMD, they have used a robust 6-1/2 woofer resulting in amazing clarity, dynamics, and most importantly off axis consistency. shipping with both round and square bezel-less grille, the ICI6 has an optional flush mount kit available directly from SeeLess.
There will also be two new passive custom sizable soundbars — the P7m-LCR and P9m-LCR — the first passive soundbars released by Wisdom Audio making its worldwide debut at Cedia 2023. Specifically designed to avoid the compromises inherent in other conventional soundbar “custom length” designs, so you will not have to give up any sound quality just to have it match the width of your TV. The new soundbars ship standard as free-standing, but can also be wall-mounted or attached to a TV using a VESA mount (both of these are optional accessories).
Finally, a new powered subwoofer — the S10P — a sealed 10” subwoofer for in-room applications, will be making its worldwide debut at Cedia 2023. The S10 (10”) 500-Watt Powered Subwoofer is a versatile unit capable of producing powerful clean bass from an incredibly compact cabinet. Convertible from freestanding upright to down-firing or up-firing installation, the ultra-compact design can easily be hidden under sofas or cabinets. At only 7.48” (190mm) deep and featuring a sealed cabinet, the stylish S10 is discreet and easy to install. Available in luxurious high gloss black finish, with a black magnetically attached grille. The amplifier also includes a DSP capable of offering 10 parametric filter allowing dealers to perform manual calibrations and tailor the response to each specific project.
