Celebrate another major milestone for the Kaleidescape Filmmaker Spotlight series with the launch of Martin Scorsese’s Filmmaker Spotlight!
The Kaleidescape Filmmaker Spotlight is a series of movie collections that focus on featured filmmakers by compiling their favorite films, films by filmmakers that inspired their work, and their favorite demo movies, among other categories. To date, we have spotlights on a wide range of filmmakers from actors like Josh Gad, and Clancy Brown, to directors including Ben Affleck, and Barry Sonnenfeld as well as cinematographers, sound mixers and editors.
Kaleidescape collaborated with Martin Scorsese to collectively tell his story through his love of movies – bringing his spotlight to life. We worked with his archivist to get some wonderful images to accompany the collections. His spotlight is a true master class in film history, referencing not only his extensive filmography but also his favorite movies, cinematographers & DPs, grifter movies, scores & soundtracks, New York set films, and classic & modern movies he admires. The collections are accompanied by insights by the Oscar-winning director, so be sure to check them out!
