AC Future Partners with Pininfarina

AC Future Partners with Pininfarina to Redefine Mobile Living with Innovative Transformer House.

Iconic Italian design house Pininfarina is set to collaborate with AC Future, a leading innovator in developing futuristic living solutions, to conceptualize and design an extraordinary mobile living space known as eTH – Electric Transformer House. This cutting-edge product, which will be fully unveiled at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, aims to harmoniously blend luxurious amenities, smart technology, and eco-friendly features to embrace the mobility demands of the future.

As “glamping” and off-the-grid living continue to grow in popularity among millennials, Gen Z, and even older generations, AC Future and Pininfarina are poised to be at the forefront of innovation with the Transformer House. In addition to designing the interiors and exterior of the mobile living unit, Pininfarina crafted the product’s unique brand identity, including the logo and all brand assets. Pininfarina will also spearhead the artistic direction for the booth of AC Future’s eTH showcase at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas, where it will be located at LVCC, West Hall — Booth # 6379.

The foldable mobile living space caters to the evolving needs of a population seeking more dynamic, functional, and eco-conscious mobile lifestyles. With the desires of modern consumers in mind, it also capitalizes on and seeks to improve the emerging trends in electric RVs, which have become popular in recent years as a sustainable alternative for travel enthusiasts.

The Electric Transformer House’s distinctive features will include expandable walls, a retractable solar panel roof, and an atmospheric water generator that captures humidity from the outside air to produce water. In addition to unfolding to allow for a larger living space, the house will boast collapsible and modular furniture that condenses for easy driving and parking. It can also serve as both an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) and a moving office. Equipped with Starlink and Co-Pilot technologies, all of the eTH’s features as well as the vehicle itself will be powered entirely by green energy sources. More than a home on wheels, the house is, according to Arthur Qin, AC Future’s Owner, a “vision of the future.”

“Our collaboration with Pininfarina on the eTH is not just about designing a living space; it’s about reimagining the way people experience off-grid living. With Pininfarina’s experience in innovative product design across industries, they were a natural fit for the partnership,” explains Arthur Qin. “We are tapping into the growing enthusiasm for mobile lifestyles among all demographics, and our innovative approach is strategically positioned to provide a unique experience that aligns with the eco-conscious values of our customers.”

Known for its iconic eco-focused designs across the automotive, architecture, interiors, nautical, and aviation industries, to name a few, Pininfarina has been entrusted with encapsulating AC Future’s core philosophy of luxury, comfort, and relentless innovation through the eTH.

Pininfarina Vice President of Design Paolo Trevisan states, “We are so excited to collaborate with AC Future, a partner that shares our vision for innovation and commitment to creating a better and sustainable future. We believe in creating new experiences with the multidisciplinary approach that characterizes our design process. In this case, blending seamlessly how people live and move, creating a unique experience for a new lifestyle icon.”
