Join us at the Women in Consumer Technology 15th Annual CEDIA EXPO Networking Reception and Luncheon and hear from our keynote speaker, Qadra Evans, part of the Executive Leadership Team of The House That She Built and Zillow’s Director of Industry Relations for New Construction. Qadra will share the inspiring story of The House That She Built, whose mission is to support workforce development initiatives in the construction industry by generating awareness of the skilled trades to the largest underrepresented community. The House That She Built cultivates conversations and curiosity around careers in STEM and Construction to inspire growing minds and build a better world! Based on Mollie Elkman’s book, published by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), The House That She Built hopes to educate young girls and get them excited about construction by raising awareness about the viability of construction jobs for women.
Qadra Evans is a seasoned real estate industry veteran based in Denver, Colorado, with 20 years of experience. She currently serves as Zillow’s Director of Industry Relations for New Construction, after spending 6½ years with the company, initially as part of the Broker Relations team and later leading the development of a national real estate brokerage. Qadra’s role involves creating partnerships and sharing valuable news, updates, and research with the broader homebuilding industry. She is also a member of The House That She Built’s Executive Leadership Team and holds real estate licenses in six states. Qadra’s academic background includes a BA in Technical Journalism and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
