CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award

CEDIA is proud to celebrate members of our community whose careers have been defined by innovation, leadership, and long-standing service to the industry. Peter Lyngdorf has been named the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award. A pioneering Danish entrepreneur and audiophile, Lyngdorf founded HiFi Klubben and helped establish influential brands including Steinway Lyngdorf, Lyngdorf Audio, and DALI, as well as co-founding Purifi.

Few careers embody “beyond what you see” quite like his: Equibit technology reshapes an invisible digital signal into sound you feel in the room, and RoomPerfect maps a space in three dimensions to correct for what the ear hears but the eye never could. “Every innovation has been driven by one simple goal: helping people experience music and film as naturally and authentically as possible in their own homes,” Lyngdorf said of the recognition.

2026 CEDIA Fellow

Gordon van Zuiden founded cyberManor, one of the first custom integrators to focus on IP network-based home technology, the unseen networks that quietly power today’s smart homes. He chaired the CEDIA Technology Council, served six years on CEDIA’s Board of Directors, and has spent over two decades teaching the field how to build what works seamlessly, precisely because it stays out of sight.

2026 CEDIA Fellow

Since 1981, Dave Tkachuk has shaped residential and commercial AV engineering, including twenty years as president of Tkachuk Associates and as founder of Symbol Logic. His work on the AV Architectural Drawing Symbols Standard (ANSI J-STD-710) as co-chair of the CTA/CEDIA Systems Documentation Work Group gave our industry a shared language most homeowners will never see — but every integrator relies on. He was CEDIA’s 2011 Volunteer of the Year.
