Apply for a Technology Designer Performance Home Award

The TD Performance Home Awards program is open to any individual, organization or authorized agent who manufactures, designs, engineers or promotes consumer technology products.

Products (defined as any performance home product category featured in the TD Magazine) submitted must be available in the market for the first time after September 1, 2025, or must be available for order or sale by September 7, 2025.

A Design is described as architectural (residence or landscape), interior design or technical (also known as a system integration). Designs can be whole home, room specific, or outdoor environments.

Entry Criteria

Entries must be submitted by July 18, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT.

All entries must comply with the official program rules, as follows:

  • Product submitted must be available in the market for the first time after Sep. 1, 2024 or must be projected to be available in the market for order by Sep. 7, 2025.
  • Technology Designer LLC in its sole discretion, may determine if a product is not eligible for consideration. 
  • A maximum of three (3) different product images may accompany each entry. Images must be submitted in a .jpg format and be less than 3 MB. If entering an intangible product, an applicant may submit screenshots or diagrams. All images must be submitted via the online application.
  • Applicant representative must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and authorized to submit the product on behalf of the applicant.

Best Product, Best Design, Honoree Selections

A panel of industry expert judges review applications in each  category (product or design) based on the evaluation criteria below and the top scoring products are designated as Best Product or Best Design. Notable achievements are awarded an Honoree citation.

Judging Criteria

All entries are reviewed and scored based on the following criteria:

  • Engineering, technology and functionality based on performance home metrics
  • Aesthetics and design, especially when prominently displayed in the home
  • What makes the product unique and innovative
  • The user interface and user experience. How does the consumer live with the product or design?

Applicants in all product categories will be notified via email by mid-August of their status. 

All award designations by the judges are final.
