Lutron Opens New Design Studio Space in Toronto’s Creative Hub

The showroom provides a versatile space for architects, designers, and the local creative community to explore innovative lighting solutions.

Lutron Electronics, the trusted leader in architectural lighting, window shades, and intuitive controls, is proud to announce the opening of its Toronto Design Studio in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant creative scene. Located in the Queens Quay neighborhood in the Daniels Waterfront building, this 2,200-square-foot studio is designed to support the design and trade community, offering immersive experiences that showcase the future of light in the built environment.

This new Design Studio is the first of its kind in Canada and will focus on supporting visitors from afar as well as on the local community. “Our goal is to support our trade community above all else,” says Rob Laterza, Senior Manager of Experience Centers at Lutron. “We wanted to be downtown, immersed in the excitement of Toronto’s creative culture, and provide a space where architects and designers can explore the possibilities of lighting in an environment that truly reflects their world.”

The studio’s design, led by a Toronto-based architectural firm iN STUDIO, reflects a strong connection to the landscape, with curved wooden walls and expansive views of the sky and water, creating a calming, natural environment.

Lutron’s new Ketra D2 and Rania D2 downlights are perfectly integrated to complement the studio’s thoughtful design. The 2” aperture downlights blend seamlessly into the ceiling while delivering the high-quality lighting experience Lutron is known for. The D2 downlights highlight the beauty of the space by enhancing fabric textures, artwork, and architectural details, while also adapting dynamically throughout the day to create personalized lighting experiences.

The studio is poised to become a hub for creative events and gatherings. With a versatile layout that includes a reception area, fabric/product sample gallery, and open spaces, the studio is well-suited for hosting thought leadership events, panel discussions, and unique sensorial experiences. This multifaceted approach reflects Lutron’s commitment to both education and inspiration, fostering a deeper understanding of the role lighting plays in our environments. Designed to be a resource for the local trade and dealer network, the studio will support architects and designers in working on projects directly within the space.

Lutron’s Toronto Design Studio is located at 130 Queens Quay East, Suite 512, Toronto, Ontario. For more information about the space or to schedule a visit, please visit Experience.Lutron.com.
