Salamander Designs and Kaleidescape Announce New Appointments

Salamander Designs, the recognized leading provider of premium quality A/V technology furniture for residential and commercial markets, has announced that industry veteran Cat Toomey has joined their senior leadership team as vice president of marketing. The news comes on the heels of Salamander’s December announcement of naming Scott Srolis the company’s president. Cat will bring her extensive industry expertise, vision, strong relationships, and skills to advance Salamander’s marketing strategies and customer programs worldwide. She will also continue as CEO of CATalyzing Communications, the agency she founded eight years ago, with support from her team, for non-competing firms.

Salamander Designs’ growth trajectory is remarkable. Universally known for quick-ship customized furniture solutions and sustainable operations for 30 years, they have been voted #1 by the CI industry for furniture for the past 17 years (since rankings began) and #1 in the seating category in the most current polling. The appointment of Cat as vice president of marketing signals plans to deepen connections within the CI industry and end-customers on national and international levels. With significant growth in its business, partnerships, and markets, Salamander is on track for even greater expansion in 2025.

“We’re thrilled to kick off 2025 by welcoming Cat as Salamander’s vice president of marketing,” said Scott Srolis, president of Salamander Designs. “With her in-depth industry experience and proven track record in strategy and branding, Cat is the perfect fit to lead our brand and next gen marketing endeavors along with our marketing director Angela Babowicz. In 2025, we aim to drive profound engagement and success for all our customers across global commercial and residential markets.”

“Cat and her agency have been actively supporting us at Salamander for eight years already,” shared Salvatore Carrabba, founder and CEO of Salamander Designs, Ltd. “We’re excited that she’s joining us full-time to further expand our brand, customer experiences, programs and outreach. We’re grateful for our strong growth, and with Cat in our new leadership role, we know we’re on our way to even bigger things for our valued partners and customers.”

“I’m deeply honored to step into the role of Vice President of Marketing at Salamander Designs, one of the most distinctive companies in our industry,” shared Cat Toomey. “Working with this passionate team, dedicated to creating premium products that meet individual needs, has been a true privilege. I’m excited to build on their decades of success and help shape Salamander’s brand while enhancing dealer and customer experiences across residential and commercial sectors. Together, we’ll continue delivering exceptional value to our partners worldwide.”

Cat and Scott have a rich history of collaboration and leadership success both at Salamander Designs and prior companies over 13 years. Cat is founder of CATalyzing Communications, an end-to-end marketing agency established in 2016 that serves the CI, CE and high-tech industries. She is also cofounder of VideoMojo, which offers the industry’s largest library of CI technology video content, enabling integrators to share compelling branded videos without the need for onsite video filming. Cat will continue as CEO of CATalyzing which will remain Salamander’s agency of record. The agency will continue serving existing and new clients in non-competing segments. With a staff of trusted industry professionals who have supported the CI industry for nearly a decade, CATalyzing clients can expect business as usual.

Kaleidescape, maker of the ultimate movie platform, announced today that they have appointed Priscilla Morgan, who currently serves as Kaleidescape’s chief operating officer, to president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

Initially joining Kaleidescape as a board member in 2021 she transitioned to the full time position of chief operating officer in 2022. In her new role as president and chief operating officer, she will bring Kaleidescape to customers in more territories and continue to grow the world’s premier movie platform.

“Priscilla has been instrumental in transforming Kaleidescape with her expertise in go-to-market strategies, operations, and finance that has led to increasing revenue and driving down costs for Kaleidescape,” said Tayloe Stansbury, chairman and CEO, Kaleidescape. “This past year she oversaw the successful launch of our next-generation player and servers and our entrance into commercial cinema.”

“Since joining Kaleidescape I have seen the company evolve at a rapid rate due to its aggressive and unwavering approach to innovation,” said Priscilla Morgan. “I am thrilled to be stepping into this new position and am excited about the possibilities ahead as we have set up a foundation for success.”

In 2024 she led the introduction of Kaleidescape as an alternative content delivery platform to the commercial cinema market for library releases and is piloting this program with multiple exhibitors across the United States. In addition, she led the go-to-market strategy for the launch of the Strato V movie player, which continues to build momentum into 2025. Strato V offers stunning 4K Dolby Vision playback and lossless audio with a lower cost of entry, thereby expanding Kaleidescape’s market demographic.

Priscilla’s relationships with movie studios have led to increases in content licensing. In 2024, Priscilla secured an agreement with a major studio in the UK, adding thousands of titles for customers to purchase or rent. Domestically, Priscilla added several boutique studios, bringing more alternative content to the Kaleidescape platform.

Prior to Kaleidescape, Priscilla served as chief revenue officer at Alliance Consumer Group, a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of consumer products. Additionally, Priscilla oversaw worldwide sales and business operations and new business design and implementation in vice president roles at Dolby. As vice president of business operations and development at Oracle, she led cross-functional teams to refine business practices, operations, and opportunity management for on-demand and support services. She also served as the CFO at TuVox and conducted client engagements at KPMG.

Priscilla holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California, Berkeley. She was selected twice as one of the Most Influential Women in Business by The San Francisco Business Times
