Greetings. I’ve been on a few press junkets recently, taking in new innovations and soon-to-be industry-defining products that you’ll be seeing in 2025. We’re also just a month out from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, where an entire world of new and evolutionary products will be on display. This year, I had the privilege of being a judge for the 2025 Innovations Award competition and I’m excited to see who the winners are. Anyway, lots of cool stuff will be debuting there as well, but all of it under embargo until notice is given.
We’ve a jam-packed Fall issue with articles ranging from Sean Vincent O’Keefe’s look at Carbon Wise, Steven Panosian’s profile of Cleerline Technology Group, George McClure’s deep dive into new luxury residential projectors from Epson, and part two of Maria Deschamps phenomenal conversation with the Lighting Lady, Lynn Stambouly.
Stephanie Casimiro writes about her favorite kitchen and bath products that hit the market in 2024, and what a great selection she’s reporting on, especially the Fisher & Paykell 48-inch Professional Induction Range. New audio products from Focal/Naim and Marantz will amaze with high performance audio coupled with elegant design and ease-of-use operation. We are really excited to share these new products with you and encourage you to seek them out and witness perfection on so many levels.
Yours truly presents part two of our conversation with Sonance, as Mike Clearly takes us on a journey through the Studio and how ‘Designed to Disappear’ and ‘Life is Better with Music’ come to fruition. And what would Technology Designer be without a look at performance home infrastructure – from pre-build carbon assessment to outdoor landscape lighting?
Our good friend Bill Hensley is back and reporting from Basingstoke, England which is home to Habitech, the U.K.’s premier distributor to the residential system integration channel. And we sit down with Peter Shipp from ZIO, a Florida-based technology design and system integration firm that is among the finest in our industry. His latest project in Orlando is pretty awesome in scale and scope.
Finally, Laurie Laizure, the Founder of the Interior Design Community, shares her thoughts on how the IDC has been a cornerstone for professionals in the design industry, helping them stay ahead of the curve by learning and adopting new technologies that drive efficiency and productivity.
Please look for your complimentary Technology Design Magazine 2024 Fall issue arriving in early December.
