DALI (DANISH AUDIOPHILE LOUDSPEAKER INDUSTRIES) evolved out of Scandinavia’s leading audio retail chain in 1983, based on the observation that customers often requested a combination of size, shape, performance and price that existing speaker brands could not offer. Inspired by a firm belief that they could create a unique sonic identity focused on musical realism and sound integrity, the company set out to redefine the reproduction of sound.
And have they ever succeeded! Today, DALI loudspeakers are known world-wide for offering outstanding performance and natural sound at competitive prices. At their advanced facilities in Denmark, DALI now manufacturers the second largest number of speaker cabinets in the industry, behind only the iconic American brand Klipsch.
DALI speakers have been hugely popular for years in Europe and Asia; to replicate this success in the U.S. and Canada, the company appointed Lenbrook as its North American distributor in 2018. Lenbrook is the parent company of NAD Electronics, PSB Speakers and Bluesound (wireless music systems).
We recently sat down with Jason Zidle, Lenbrook’s Brand Manager of DALI, for a wide-ranging chat about the brand’s history, current products and the brand-new, state-of-the-art Kore model – the best speaker they’ve ever created.
